Having experienced firsthand the negative consequences of a modern, western diet, army veteran and Biomedical Engineer, Tanikki, sought ways to improve her neurological function and overall wellbeing by changing her diet. Combining her creative skills and culinary training, she began formulating recipes that focused on using natural ingredients and minimal additives that were geared toward keeping the mind and body functioning optimally. After achieving personal success in her own daily life, Tanikki was inspired to share what she learned with first family, then those in the wider community.
As my health improved, I found renewed interest in photography and other creative pursuits that I had before diet-induced exhaustion, anxiety and stress depleted me. Changing how I fueled my body proved that indeed food was effective medicine. With new mental clarity, I once again found pleasure in capturing the beauty of nature and experienced peace in the moments spent observing the symbiosis in nature. I felt compelled to share my metamorphosis with others.
